Editorial Redlist #1

In recent years internet and social media have played a crucial role in changing the way how photography is communicated, but I have the feeling that now is a good time to return to a traditional physical format without algorithms or censorship. The digital environment is great and offers direct contact with many people, but photography also needs a context that Internet does not offer like a print medium does.

Redlist takes as a reference the tradition of magazines and zines that for many years were common to communicate many social and visual aspects. With the same idea, Redlist will show different types of projects and content.

Each issue will be different, using different graphics and different approaches to give space to publish recent work, projects in progress, collaborations, personal works and more. Redlist will include already published photographs and images never published before, giving readers the opportunity to see new work.

In this first issue dedicated to Begining, there is a colllaboration by Loïc Desplanques and two stories 106 and "A day with Paul Birraux" that that talk about beginnings on the days when curiosity drives to discoveries.
