“Vencer” is a photographic series by Gerardo Vizmanos for REDLIST #5 inspired by the theme of conscription, that reimagines the body not as a weapon, but as a space for vulnerability, camaraderie, and desire. Stripped of uniforms and command, these bodies invite a pacifist gaze. A story for peace in times still marked by war.
The images are accompanied by two texts: one by Daniel Borrillo, Professor of Law at Paris Nanterre University, and another by Alexander Schneider, (@homocommunist), Editor at the LACMA Museum in Los Angeles

Issue dedicated to Utopia
REDLIST traveled to Fire Island, a place where many artists have found their Arcadia in search of utopia. Drawing inspiration from classic photographs taken over decades at this landmark location of the queer movement, which remains an escape from New York City today, issue 2 of REDLIST presents a monograph of photographs captured by Gerardo Vizmanos during his visit in the spring of 2024.
